Extensive volume from the Library of Congress offering catalog entries of televsision programs acquired by the Library between 1949 adn 1979. Broadcasts represent the "golden age" of drama. Each entry includes title of series, episode title, copyright claimant, telecast span for series, date of telecast, lenght of program, physical description, and summary. Resources includes many photos.

FCC and Publications

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent United States government agency, directly responsible to Congress. The FCC was established by the Communications Act of 1934 and is charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable. The FCC's jurisdiction covers the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. possessions. FCC's predecessor, the Federal Radio Commission dates from 1927-1934.
