Online Practice Exams and Guide Books

Online practice tests can be accessed from the Testing & Education Reference Center database.

Once you're in the database, look for the Career Tools in the blue tab (right below the header) and Law Enforcement is one of the options in the pulldown menu.

Two resources available on next page:

  1. Online Practice Tests
  2. Online Books

You will be required to register to access the online practice tests and the online guides books. This account is not related to your ULID or library account.

Print Guides

If you prefer print guides, you can get copies of law enforcement exams from other I-Share libraries (ISU is part of a consortium of approximately 80 Illinois academic libraries).  To find and request titles from other libraries, you can watch this tutorial.

To find guides, do a title search for "[name of exam] exam" (without the quotation marks).  For instance, a search for police officer exams would looks like this:  police officer exam.

You will need an I-Share/VuFind account to request items from other libraries; if you have not set up that account, please watch this tutorial.
