Special Collections - Rare & Fine - 54 Authors Collection: 54 Authors Collection

Collection Background

In years past, Milner Library's Special Collections isolated 54 select authors for more curated representation in our Rare and Fine Collection. Their bibliographies more exhaustively collected, these authors, ranging from the well-known (Charles Dickens and D.H. Lawrence) to the reasonably obscure (the brothers John Cowper,  T.F. and Llewelyn Powys) to the controversial (Eric Gill) offer an eclectic view of English Literature in the rough space of 100 years (1850-1950) between Victorian literature and what would be considered modern.
