What is I-Share and How to Use it
I-Share is a group of nearly 90 academic libraries in Illinois that share materials among the libraries
If Milner Library does not own a specific book, or if our copy is checked out, you may search the Online Catalog for all the I-Share libraries and see which other libraries own the book.
To search all I-Share libraries, when using the simple search, check the box in front of Include I-Share Libraries on the Milner website. When using the advanced search, click on the button in front of All I-Share Libraries on the top of the search page. Search the catalog in the same way as if you were searching only the Milner catalog.
You may also request books from other I-Share libraries and have the books sent here to Milner Library.
If you are at another location away from Milner Library, you may also have books sent to other I-Share libraries close to your location and pick up the books there.
