Public Opinion / Polls

ICPSR Database

Using ICPSR

Start by clicking the link above. That will take you to the ICPSR homepage. To start searching, click the Find Data button and select Find Data. Enter your search terms into the search box that appears.

The first thing you want to do in the Results page is to select the Public Opinion Subject Term on the left side of the page. This limits your results just to polls. From there, skim the list of results to find a relevant poll.

Once you've found something relevant, click on it to view more information. The record page will let you download the information as well as read a summary. It will also let you view variables and published items that used the data. There will most likely be a link that shows you all the polls in a series if the investigators have connected polls.
