Searching the Online Catalog

To search for other books on your topic, go to the Milner Library website. 

Click on the "Books and Media" tab.  
You may type search terms in the box, or for more searching options, click on Advanced Search.


If you are working from a bibliography, use the Advanced Search and select the Title or Author option, or use both.

To find books on a specific topic, use the Advanced Search, and select Subject option.  

 

   In the Online Catalog, click on LOGIN to go into your Catalog account. 
[The first time you login, click on “Create New Account” to set up your Catalog account.] 
This account shows items checked out, items requested, fines and fees, and offers online renewal of books.


To request that books be retrieved for you from the regular shelves, from Basement Storage or Storage North,
first login to your Online Catalog account.  
When you find the book you need, click on Request.


For materials not available in Milner Library, expand your search by choosing the All I-Share Librariesoption.  
Materials from I-Share libraries may also be requested.


 To search for books and other materials in libraries worldwide, use WorldCat.  
Two libraries with extensive Holocaust Studies collections are at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University.
These libraries are not included in I-Share.
Searching in WorldCat will help to identify materials at these and other libraries.
