How do you know if an online source is giving you good information? Use the CRAAP test.
Currency – timeliness of the information. When was it published?
Relevance – the important of the information for your project. Does this website relate to what you’re writing about?
Authority – the source of the information. Who wrote this content? Is this person qualified? How do you know?
Accuracy – the reliability of the information. Where does the information come from? Is it supported by research? How do you know?
Purpose – the reason the information exists. What’s the purpose of the information? Are they trying to sell you something? Is the information propaganda, or factual?
