What's in this guide

This guide is intended for those seeking help with research-related needs: author profiles, data management plans (DMP), data visualizations, text and data mining, and more!

This guide is very large and may seem intimidating at first.  Please note the order of content.

All content prior to the DMP tab (on the left-hand side) is content you may need for either your research OR to craft a successful DMP (Data Management Plan).

ISU: A Long Tradition of Scholarly Research

Dual Overlay Visualization

This is an overlaid image of a 10 µm diameter Pt electrode recorded with a dual probe. One probe records pH and the other measures the rate of reaction at the Pt electrode. The images are offset in the xy plane because the two imaging probes are offset; the image effectively is a “picture” of the dual probe that is doing the imaging.

Starch Coals 2 Visualization

This image is a scanning electron microscope (SEM) image of starch microparticles embedded on some kind of substrate. The colors are false, as SEM only produces black and white images.
