Population Trends

These resources show information about total population and breakdowns of the population by characteristics including age, gender, whether the population is increasing or decreasing, and more.

United States Census Bureau International Database
This database provides information about countries’ population growth and breakdowns of population by demographics such as gender and age.

To search by country:
- Go to the Country Dashboard tab on the left and choose World under Select by Country/Area.
- A Select a Country/Area box will pop up where you can browse or enter your country in the search box under Country/Area Name.
- When your country’s name appears in the box below the search box, choose it’s name and select okay to view population data.
OECD Data by Country
Provides overviews of many countries including charts of population by age.
