Examining trade journals/magazines will also reveal fabric trends. If you access the database Academic Search Complete you will find that you can limit your search to trade journals by entering your search term, such as fabric trend*, search, and select the trade journal limit found on the left side of your screen.
Browse the trade journals found in the library's current periodical section on the main floor. You would go to the TT 400-700, HD 9850 and GT 2000 sections.
Newspaper articles could also be another source of information. To find newspaper sources go to Milner's homepage and click on "Article Search". Click on "Database by Subject" found under the boxes. Click on the "By Type" tab. Click on "News". You will find a list of databases which will give you access to newspapers.

Words such as fabric* trend* can be entered. The (*) picks up all words beginning with the given letters which allows one to search the plural forms of the words.
