A DMP is helpful for organizing the collection and use of data during a research project and retention and sharing of data after a research project.
May be required by grant funding agency. The RDAP and SPARC's Data Sharing Requirements by Federal Agency "is a community resource for tracking, comparing, and understanding current U.S. federal funder research data sharing policies." Over fifteen federal agencies are listed and a user can select up to three agencies to view or compare the same time.
