PHI 360: Topics in Environmental Philosophy (Godoy): Home

Hello!

My name is Grace Allbaugh, the liaison librarian attached to the Philosophy department. I put this guide together to help you find resources for your PHI 360 projects. This guide is meant to be a starting point, but if you have questions that go beyond what's on the guide, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. The box to the right includes several ways of contacting me.

In this guide you will find:

Books: This tab discusses how to use Milner's catalog to find books on specific topics. There is also a section that highlights specific call number ranges that may be relevant to topics.

Articles: This tab walks you through the basics of using a database to find research articles. It also lists some suggested databases that could include relevant articles for this class. There are multi-subject and subject-specific database options. There are also instructions on how to use interlibrary loan.

News: This tab lists some suggested databases that can help you find news articles. There is also a video that shows you how to use the database, Nexis Uni, to find news.

Annotations: This tab gives the basics of creating an annotation.

Citing Sources: This is a linked tab to Milner's Citing Sources guide, which includes suggestions and examples of how to cite a variety of sources in the major citation styles.
