Categorizing Topic Information

No matter where you are in the research process and development of your project, it helps to categorize your topic information. Doing this in a visual way can identify connections to different aspects of your topic. This is often referred to as mind mapping or brainmapping.

An image of a web of keywords connecting with lines. In the center is "prisons," which connects to "issues," "types of prisoners" and "types of prisons." Each of these terms has several terms branching off, for example: "issues" branches into "overcrowding," "reintegration" and "recidivism"
