This guide is a starting point for all students majoring in or taking classes within the department of Mathematics. You can get research help with all aspects of your projects and research.

- Combinatorics NetWeb directory of combinatorics resources maintained by Bill Chen.
- Electronic Journal of CombinatoricsA fully refereed electronic journal. Available from vol. 1, 1994, forward . Free email notification service available.
- Erdös Number ProjectTrack the chain of co-authorships connecting a given mathematician with Paul Erdös (1913–1996). Maintained by Jerry Grossman at Oakland University, with the collaboration of Patrick Ion at Mathematical Reviews and Rodrigo De Castro at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogota.
- Interactive Mathematics Miscellany and PuzzlesA directory of interactive math activities.
- Mathematical ArchivesA directory of online teaching resources, hosted by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville
- Mathematical AtlasA collection of articles about aspects of mathematics at and above the university level, but (usually) not at the level of current research. Designed with the visitor in mind who wants to know something about a topic in mathematics -- why it's interesting, how it fits in with the rest of mathematics, and how it may be useful for solving some problem in or out of mathematics.
- Mathematics Geneology ProjectA database of Ph.D.'s in mathematics, worldwide, and their academic family trees. Directed by Harry Coonce, Steve Butcher, Patricia Allaire.
- Topology AtlasA comprehensive on-line resource for mathematicians and others with an interest in topology. Features preprints, invited contributions, individual and organizational directories, conference calendar, and more.

- Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM)SIAM members are applied and computational mathematicians, computer scientists, numerical analysts, engineers, statisticians, and mathematics educators working in industrial and service organizations, universities, and government agencies and labs all over the world.
