Locating News Sources

For this assignment you will be working in small groups. You will select one of the topics of the course and research the issue within the context of current events and news stories. Your group will make a presentation to the class in which you present and discuss the news stories and provide a critical analysis within the context of the course content. Recommended resources for locating news stories are outlined below. 

Print or online newspapers

  1. Wall Street Journal:
    • Online: You can use your ULID and password to view the Wall Street Journal online.  Go to the Wall Street Journal catalog listing and click the ProQuest links to browse or search 1984-present, or the NexisUni link to search 1973-present.
    • Print: You can find the most recent month of the Wall Street Journal by title in the Current Periodicals section in the southeast corner of Floor 2.
  2. The Washington Post
    • Online: You can use your ULID and password to view the Washington Post online. Go to the Washington Post catalog listing to see coverage options. 
    • Print: You can find the most recent month of the Washington Post by title in the Current Periodicals section in the southeast corner of Floor 2.
