  • Art and Architecture Source Recommended
    Full text database of art and architecture journals, magazines, and trade publications covering topics like antiques, art, art history, and interior and landscape design.
  • JSTOR Recommended
    Full text multi-disciplinary database of journal articles, books, images, and primary sources encompassing area studies, arts, business, economics, history, humanities, law, medicine, allied health, science, mathematics, and social sciences. Search Help for Students
  • Oxford Art Online Recommended
    Compilation of art reference sources and includes full text articles, artist biographies, and digital images. Limited to eight simultaneous users.
  • Academic Search Ultimate
    A scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database of sources including peer-reviewed journals, magazines, newspapers, books, ebooks, reports, and conference proceedings.
  • American Broadsides and Ephemera
    Searchable image database of rare printed items from 1749 to 1900 including historical menus, invitations, advertisements, broadsides, trade cards, and theater, music, and traveling entertainment (including circus) programs.
  • ArchiveGrid
    Online catalog with records describing archival materials such as historical documents, personal papers, and family histories representing collections from libraries, archives, museums, and other organizations around the world.
  • Art Index Retrospective

    Historic citation database of art publications including journals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins. Also includes digital art reproductions.

  • Artstor

    Digital image collection of leading museums, photo archives, scholars, and artists covering topics such as architecture, art history, fashion & costume, design, and more. As of August 2024, Artstor is accessed through JSTOR.

  • Bibliography of the History of Art
    Citation database encompassing historic fine arts, decorative and applied arts, and European and American visual arts from late antiquity through 2009. Visit the information page to learn more about this resource.
  • Black Thought and Culture
    Written by leaders within the black community, this database includes books, essays, articles, speeches, and interviews from authors such as Frederick Douglass, W.E.B. Du Bois, Carter G. Woodson, Alain Locke, Mary McLeod Bethune, and Booker T. Washington.
