How To Find Politics & Government Resources

This section will help you find different types of resources relating to topics in Politics and Government. Each page includes resource lists and/or a discussion of how to access certain types of materials.

  • Find Articles with PAIS and WWPSA: two commonly-used Politics & Government databases, PAIS Index and Worldwide Political Science Abstracts.
  • Find News with Nexis Uni: a commonly-used law database to find newspaper and law journal and review articles
  • Find Federal Legislation: a variety of sources - Proquest Congressional, The United States Congressional site, Congress.gov, and other sources from the open web.
  • Find Congressional News: commonly-used resources for news articles on Congress and federal legislation that supplement other academic resources.
  • Evaluate Articles: This page lists suggestions for evaluating a resource in order to determine relevance and credibility.
