Personal communications, including email and interviews, are not listed in the Reference List and should be cited parenthetically (although full narrative is also acceptable). (See AMA Style Manual section 3.13.10) Interviews, letters, etc. used from existing publications should be referenced and cited based on the source type in which they reside (e.g., book, podcast).
