Criminal Justice Sciences

This guide is meant to point researchers in the direction of commonly-used criminal justice resources available at Illinois State University. There are also descriptions of general search strategies to use those resources.

How to check on CJS textbook availability

Milner Library provides access to many of your textbooks for free!

Some are available as e-books and others are available in Milner Library's Course Reserves for two hours at a time in the library.

Does Milner have a copy of your course materials?  Search the library catalog:

1. Choose Course Reserves in the pulldown menu in the search box

2. Search for the textbook title or the class (e.g., cjs 101)

You'll get a list of the available course materials.

This title is available both in paper format as a book in Course Reserves as well as an e-textbook.

Note that some e-textbooks may be limited to just one or three users at a time.
