Course Reserves General Overview

Milner Library course reserves provide access to instructional materials that are required for specific courses. Materials are made available upon instructor request.

Submitting a request to place items on course reserve

  • When possible, please submit request two weeks before assignments are made in class
  • A request for a book or other physical item should include the full title and call number (if a book in Milner).
  • An article or book chapter request should include the title and source information.
  • Fill out the Request From (Central login required) to submit a request

How students access course reserves

Print reserve materials (books, videos, etc.) are checked out at the Check Out Desk on Floor 2. They stay in the library and have a two-hour loan period. Print reserve materials are listed online and may be searched by course, instructor name, or department.

Electronic course reserves (articles, book chapters, etc.) are available through ReggieNet course sites.
