Hi, Redbirds! My name is April Karlene Anderson-Zorn, and I am your University Archivist!
Just what is a 'University Archivist'? It's my job to find, acquire, protect, and make accessible materials that help to tell Illinois State University's history. It's also my job to help tell ISU's story with these materials, as well as to help Redbirds learn how to use and protect their history. I like to say I have one of the best jobs on campus! I have the privilege of meeting and working with a variety of people, talking about ISU history (which, I love to do), and, most importantly, get these materials in the hands of faculty, students, and researchers so that our story can be told for years to come.
When I'm not championing history, I'm usually whipping up some new and crazy dish for my family or catching a few moments to read. If I'm not cooking, I can be found in one of two places: on the beach back home in Pensacola, Florida or cheering on my favorite team in my favorite ballpark - the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field!
Email me at aander2@ilstu.edu and I'll be happy to answer any of your Redbird History questions!
