  • Communication Methods and Measures - Aims to bring developments in methodology, both qualitative and quantitative, to the attention of communication scholars, to provide an outlet for discussion and dissemination of methodological tools and approaches to researchers across the field.
  • Communication Research and Practice - Publishes research in: digital media & internet studies; organizational & interpersonal communication; journalism, public relations & advertising.
  • Human Communication Research - Works to advance understanding of human symbolic processes with a strong emphasis on theory-driven research, the development of new theoretical models in communication, and the development of innovative methods for observing and measuring communication behavior.
  • Journal of Communication - Articles and book reviews examining a broad range of issues in communication theory, research, practice and policy.
  • Communication Research - publishes articles that explore the processes, antecedents, and consequences of communication in a broad range of societal systems.
  • Journal of Applied Communication Research - Original articles about the theory and practice of communication, especially in contemporary social issues.
  • International Communication Research Journal - International journal that disseminates in-depth, innovative and rigorous research from multidisciplinary perspectives, diverse theoretical underpinnings, and a variety of methodological approaches to empirical inquiry. 
  • Communication Research -  publishes articles that explore the processes, antecedents, and consequences of communication in a broad range of societal systems. Although most of the published articles are empirical, we also consider overview/review articles. 
  • Communication Quarterly - Manuscripts relating directly to the understanding of human communication; research reports, critical studies, state of the art reviews, supported opinion papers, and other essays selected through blind review.
  • Qualitative Research Reports in Communication - is a scholarly, peer-reviewed annual journal that publishes qualitative and critical research enhancing the understanding of human communication. Topics include but are not limited to studies of intercultural, mediated, political, organizational, interpersonal and legal communication.
