This video shows how to find the print copy of a journal in the library using the Milner Library catalog.
This video shows you how to find the electronic version of a journal or magazine using the Newspaper and Journal Finder tool.
From the Library's home page, go to search box under Start Your Research.
Below the search box, click the Advanced Search link
At the top of the page, click the Newspaper and Journal Finder button.
On the Journal Search page, enter the journal or magazine title you would like to find in the search box.
Click the Search button.
To view the journal or magazine, click the title either in the Suggested Resources tile or on the search results list.
The link on the suggested resource tile will take you directly to the journal or magazine.
In the search results, click the Available Online link
Click the database or journal platform in the View Online section.
If prompted, click Milner Library at Illinois State University and login via Central Login.
To search for articles within the journal, use the search within this publication option.

Print journals and magazines are not typically available for checkout, but you can scan articles from print journals for free using our scanner stations on Floors 2-6.
From the Library's home page, go to search box under Start Your Research.
Change the Everything drop down to Library Catalog.
Type in the journal or magazine title.
Click the Search button.
In the search results, click the journal or magazine title you need.
For the print version, click the Get It link.
Journals and magazines can be found in several different locations.
The most recent issues are on Floor 2 in the Current Periodicals area.
Older, bound journals and magazines can be found on Floors 3-6, Storage Basement, or North Storage.
Click the right arrow next to a location to see what volumes and issues are available.
Issues in the Floor 2 Current Periodicals area and on the Floors 3-6 shelves are available for you to browse.
Issues located in Storage Basement and North Storage need to be requested online.
