How to Save In Microsoft Word on Milner Library Computer Workstations

  1. Double click File tab.
  2. Click Save As.
  3. Click OneDrive - ILState University in menu on the right.
  4. Click OneDrive - IL State University folder on the left– will connect to your OneDrive folder and display screen similar to My Computer save screen.
  5. In the resulting save box, name your file and click Save.

How to Save Your Work In Office 365

  1. Newly created Word documents in Office365 save automatically with title "Document" followed by a number.  File > Save As is not recommended, as it creates a second copy of your document in addition to the automatically saved one.
  2. To rename automatically saved new document, click title of document.
  3. Enter new title and click outside of title to save changes.  Your document will now be saved under the new title in Office365 under Files.

NOTE: After you rename your document, Office 365 will automatically save your document under the new title every time you modify it.
