How to Save In Microsoft Word on Milner Library Computer Workstations

  1. Double click File tab.
  2. Click Save As.
  3. Click OneDrive - ILState University in menu on the left.
  4. Your OneDrive folders and files will appear on the right. Enter a name for your document in the box at the top. If you want to save your document to a folder in OneDrive, click a folder.
  5. Click Save.

How to Save Your Work In Office 365

A new Word document in Office365 AutoSaves with the title "Document." To rename it:

  1. Click the title of the document.
  2. Enter a new title
  3. Click outside of title to save changes. 

Your document will now be saved under the new title in Office365 under Files. After you rename your document, Office 365 will automatically save your document under the new title every time you modify it.

NOTE: File > Save As is not recommended, as it creates a second copy of your document in addition to the automatically saved one.
