This video shows you how to find a book when you know the title.
On the Library's home page, go to the search box under Start Your Research.
Change the Everything dropdown to Library Catalog.
Type in the book’s title.
Click the Search button.
Scroll through the results to see if the book is listed.
Most of the time, it will appear at the top of the results list.
If needed, use the filters at the top of the page to search by ‘in the title’ and click the Search button to narrow the search results list.
For a print book, check to see if the book is Available.
If it is, use the location and the call number to find the book on the shelves.
For an eBook, click the Available Online link
Click the eBook platform listed
If prompted Select Milner Library
and login via Central Login.

Type in the main concepts of your topic. We don’t recommend using a question or full sentence.
Click the Search button.
Scroll through the results to see if the books listed are relevant.
Use the Subject filter in Tweak Your Results to narrow your list even more
Select one or more options
Click the Apply Filters button
When you find a book that is relevant to your topic, check to see if the book is Available.
Note the location and call number to find the book on the shelves.

This video shows you how to search the I-Share catalog when Milner Library does not own the book.
From the Library's home page, go to the search box under Start Your Research.
Change the Everything dropdown to All I-Share Libraries.
Type in the book title.
We recommend using the title instead of the ISBN because there may be different versions of the exact same book.
Click the Search button.
In the search results, pay attention to the publication year and author to make sure you select to book you need.
Click book title.
In the How to get It section, you will see the I-Share libraries that own a copy of the book.
To request the book, click the Sign In link next to Please sign in to check if there are any request options.
If prompted log in via Central Login.
Click Request from another Illinois library (I-Share)
In the request form, choose Select Illinois State University (ISU) —Normal as your pickup institution.
Then select Milner Library in the Preferred Local Pickup Location drop down.
Click the Send Request button.
You will receive an email notification when the book is ready to pick up.
