How to Print from a Laptop or Other Mobile Device

This video shows how to print from a laptop, smartphone, or other mobile device.

Printing is a 2-step process.

First, upload your document to the print server

Go to the website uprint.illinoisstate.edu.

When prompted, login with Central Login.

Click Upload and to add your document to the print server.

Repeat this for as many documents as you need to print.

Your print job will appear on the list.

Check your balance to make sure you have enough money to pay for your print job.

Log out of uPrint.

Second, go to any print station in Milner Library to print your document.

All Milner print stations print in black and white and color as well as print single and double sided.

On the login screen, login with Central Login.

Click the check box next to the document or documents you want to print.

Use the drop-down menus to choose your print settings, including: color or black and white, 1-sided or 2-sided, a page range, and the number of copies.

Click the Print button.

Printing costs $.08/side for black and white and $.40/side for color printing.

To add money to your Redbird Dollars account, use bills at the Card Machine on Floor 2.

You can also add money with a credit or debit card via MyIllinoisState, or with cash at the Redbird Card Office.

How to Print from a Milner Computer

This video shows how to print from a Milner Library computer.

Printing is a 2-step process.

First, upload your document to the print server.

On a Milner Computer and with the document open, choose the File menu option.

Then select Print.

On the Print popup window, choose a printer.

The default is Milner Black and White 1-Sided.

To print double sided black and white, select Milner Black and White 2-Sided.

To print single sided color, choose Milner Color 1-Sided.

To print double sided color, select Milner Color 2-Sided.

Select other print settings, such as a page range and the number of copies.

Click the Print button.

Wait for a second for the Print Job Details popup box to display.

Enter your Central Login username and a print job name. Click the Print button.

Repeat this for as many documents as you need to print.

Second, go to any print station in Milner Library to print your documents.
