Returning Checked Out Items

Milner Library’s physical building will be transitioning to appointment-only and virtual services beginning September 8. Hours, services, and resources will continue to be modified as part of the library’s COVID-19 response. For the latest information please see Milner Library’s COVID-19 response page or Ask a Milner Librarian.

Items due between Jan. 1 and Sep. 30, 2020 have been automatically renewed until October 1, 2020 and no fines have been applied. These items may be returned any time prior to the due date to avoid overdue charges. Items checked out on or after June 24, 2020 will not be automatically renewed and are subject to fines and fees as determined by each I-Share library. Fees may be applied to items designated as lost between Jan. 1 and Mar. 15, 2020.

In addition, many libraries are not participating in Interlibrary Loan for the time being. Patrons with any questions should contact our librarians for research assistance.

Curbside Pickup for Physical Items During Library Closure

NOTES:

  • Requests for items from I-Share Libraries, Closed Stacks (previously called the Storage Basement), and Storage North have been suspended until further notice due to COVID-19.  Anyone who receives notices to return I-Share or Illinois State university items can disregard those messages, as I-Share library materials will not be considered overdue.  This video will show you how to renew Milner and I-Share items online.
