ProQuest One Business 

There are a couple of ways to find information on ProQuest OneBusiness and I’ll show you both. Start by clicking on the link on the BUS 100 page. You’ll see the “ProQuest Advanced Search” page.   

Company Overview

1. Click on the three lines in the top left corner.
2. Click on “Basic Search.”
3. On the “Basic Search” page, click “Browse all Company Overviews.”
4. On the next page, search for your company name.
5. On this “Company overview” you can find:
   1. Company name
   2. Location
   3. Industry code
   4. Scholarly journal articles
   5. News articles: Especially good for answering #9.

Article Search

1. Click the “ProQuest Business” link below this box.
2. In the main search box, search for your company.
3. On the next page, you’ll find:
   1. Industry information
   2. News articles
   3. Product reports
   4. Scholarly articles
4. Tips to narrow your results.
   1. Go to the left hand navigation.
   2. Narrow by date (last 3-5 years is usually good).
   3. Look at the “Subject” and what articles are saying about your company.
   4. Decide what kind of resources you want: newspapers, scholarly articles, trade publications
   5. Click “Exclude Wire Feeds.”
