Modifying Source Records

Change the Source Type

When adding source information to your Zotero Library, the information doesn't always get added correctly. You can modify all aspects of the source records. Here are some quick tips for changing the source type, author's designation, and title case.

  1. In your Zotero Library, select the source
  2. In the right hand pane, click the Item Type drop down menu
  3. Select the appropriate source type

Change Author designation to Editor, etc.

  3. Select the appropriate designation like Editor or Composer

  1. In your Zotero Library, select the source
  2. In the right hand pane, right click over the source title
  3. Select either Title Case or Sentence Case
